We have Australian Labradoodle puppies!

Our beloved Goldie has given birth to the Australian Labradoodle puppies!

Goldie has given birth to wonderful Australian Labradoodle puppies! The labor lasted as long as 16 hours, but we were with her all the time helping her out. As always this is an amazing feeling — miracle of birth. Every little cuddly, soft and warm ball is so innocent and so dependent on us.
Goldie is a wonderful mother, she is taking care of her babies all the time, she is cleaning them and gives them lots of warmth (floor heating helps her out ;)) Goldie is feeding puppies all the time and they feel safe. It is quiet…the view relaxes my eye..

Everything that we do in Wlochata Pasja is done on purpose. Our job is to make the the certain environment for puppies so that have a possibility of wide-ranging development. We invite you to join us in that virtual adventure. Here we will place the adventure of the puppies week by week. You will be able to observe what do we do with the puppies in each week of the puppy development stage.

Week 1/2
Puppies stay with Goldie all the time. The feeling of safe environment which she assures them is very important now, and will be important through all the socialization period in our kennel. Lots of exploration — but at the same time reinsurance. Goldie exudes pheromones at this time and those pheromones make puppies calm.
If it comes to our work during that period — we start the early neurological stimulation from day 3 and we continue until the puppies are 16 days. of age.
Early neurological stimulation means exercising with puppies certain poses (head up, head down, laying on the back, tickling paws, putting on the cold towel). Everything lasts very short — each exercise lasts for about 3 seconds. Those exercises are done for the certain purposes:

1. Improved cardio vascular performance (heart rate)
2. Stronger heart beats,
3. Stronger adrenal glands,
4. More tolerance to stress, and
5. Greater resistance to disease.

When puppies are 10 days of age we de-worm them for the first time.

Week 3

Puppies started opening their eyes and ears. We handle them gently and show them other rooms in the house — we let them smell different objects — sense of smell is very important for the dogs — this is why we work with it a lot. As the ears start opening we let the puppies listen to the radio and other sounds — it is very important for the puppies to get to know them. The sounds are pretty calm at the beginning as we do not want the puppies to get aroused. We let them listen to children stories, rhymes and lullabies. At this week we also start our special exercises — MEMBRANE exercises. The purpose of them is to immunize puppies for car traveling. No — we do not drive with puppies at that age. We are exercising at home. Those exercises grant each puppy to be free of motion sickness (car sickness). It is very important especially now, when lots of people travel with their dog. As for now, puppies sleep a lot still.

Hello!

Hello!

Week 4
We de-worm puppies again. Slowly we introduce them to the enriched environment. What does it mean? We are using different object that we can find in the house on which puppies can explore and experiment. They get into them, on them, under them. We supply them with safe environment so that the puppies know that this world is in fact safe.
We are using old, big boxes, fruit cartons, yogurt containers, balloons, children toys (the one moving and giving a special sound), jars, cans (with stones inside so they rattle. All those objects are made of materials out of different textures.
Puppies go on this special playground, they look for the food there and they explore the area with different senses.

Week 5
Crucial for meeting people

Puppies meet different people and they start to meet different dogs – for now we only concentrate on the dogs from our environment. The secret is – DIVERSITY, people in different age, sex, body build, voice. Puppies has to know voice of woman, man and children. While puppies play at their playground they listen to different sounds – vacuum cleaner, hair dryer, piano. We let them listen to children books with different sounds of animals. Puppies are very alert to those sounds and we teach them that everything which is weird does not have to mean danger. The world is beautiful and safe – and that is what they have to learn. They get to know the world thru having fun and playing. After 2 days of exercises with sounds they do not care about them at all. Sometimes something fells on the floor, sometimes balloon shots – puppies learn that noise is a natural part of this world.
Puppies already know that wearing collar is okay. We build the playground for them with different treats which they find and eat.
We open the window so they feel the weather is colder, every puppy has already been outside also (on my hands for 5 seconds)

Week 6

Puppies are after first vaccination, micro chipping and have got their passports now. Travelling to the vet was perfect. As soon as we got to the car and engine started we felt asleep. Puppies are car proofed and motion sickness is out of question!
Today we let them also run on the snow. Thanks to the Early Stimulation that was very natural for the puppies and they were not a bit afraid or surprised about it.
Puppies are still meeting new people but now they spend also a lot of time with other dogs and they enjoy it a lot. We continue enriched environment and wait for the temperament testing after which they will be assigned to their families.

Week 7

A lot of things is happening now. Puppies play a lot outside, they are learning potty training. They have been temperament tested. We continue the socialization: people, other animals, sounds, noises, enriched environment

Week 8

This is very important week. We continue the exercises and socialization as we did before but we also introduce positive reinforcement training. Before puppies go to the new families they will know what positive reinforcement training is. We teach them to sit, lay down, give a five, but what we actually teach them is not the importance of commands but the positive and immediate response to this training. But most of all of course our puppies have been allocated!! We have got now 8 happy families!
